On Thursday the 22nd of August 2019- we gathered together from around Ireland in the Arms Hotel, Listowel County Kerry to celebrate the life of Phyllis Lei Furumoto.
Our evening started as people entered the room bringing a flower from their garden and a Tea light to honour Phyllis, followed by a circle holding hands and recognising the spiritual lineage of Reiki - Usui Shiki Ryoho -
Dr Mikao Usui
Dr Chujiro Hayashi
Mrs Hawayo Takata
Phyllis Lei Furumoto
We watched a Vimeo so beautiful (thank you Collene and team) and felt very connected with the world wide Reiki community- we then shared a Reiki treatment, as we watched the Sun go down overlooking the river Feale and green fields.
After a very still and silent Reiki share we had a cuppa and biscuits, we sat around in a circle, listened to some of Phyllis favourite music and sang some of her songs and also some Irish, English, French and Polish songs.
Tears laughter and love permeated the room.
We closed our circle and said goodbye to Phyllis with very much love in our hearts. RIP.
We then introduced Johannes Reindl as our new lineage barrier and grandmaster. Our evening finished with a circle singing the Reiki principles.
Each person gave a donation it amounted to €130 which was given to Marymount Hospice.
